Unfortunately had to use the doctors quite a bit lately due to mine and kids health issues and I do feel guilty but they never ever make me feel bad and from reception to nurses to doctors all are incredible people I have never felt so supported and I appreciate their care and professional attitude.

On Tuesday my wife saw the doctor about a problem. The doctor said it seemed like she had a mini stroke. He tried to call a doctor at the hospital while my wife was there but couldn't get hold of him. The doctor said he'd call my wife at home in about 2 hours. We waited and waited and at 3 pm my wife called the surgery to say that she hasn't heard anything from the doctor. The receptionist said that she'd call my wife back in a few minutes. This she did and said that if we didn't hear from the stroke nurse by 5 pm to call back. We heard nothing so called again at 5 pm and eventually go through at 5.20 pm. She said she'll talk to the doctor - she came back on the phone and said that it was too late to do anything now (so why did she tell us to call back if we didn't hear by 5 pm??) and the doctor would call her back tomorrow (Wednesday). On Wednesday (today) at 2.30 pm we still hadn't receive a call from the surgery so called again. After explaining the situation to a different receptionist, we were told that my wife has been urgently referred to the stroke nurse and that she would hear something from her, My wife asked if she would hear by letter or phone and the receptionist said she wasn't sure. The issue here is we were never kept informed - no calls were ever made to us despite being told they would. We had to chase and chase and still not sure when we'll hear even though it's been marked as urgent! As one can imagine, this was a great shock and the delay in communication and chasing each time adds to the anxiety. We hear about the shortage of money in the NHS but all that was needed was a 2 minute phone call.

Practice nurse Sophie was absolutely fabulous! She's through! She's great at her job! Well done Sophie:-)

I just wanted to say that Dr Hyedi is amazing! Truly listens, has a holistic approach and comes across as really dued up and knowing what she is doing. It makes a difference when one is made to feel at ease and listened to.
